How Much Do HVAC Leads Cost in 2026? Every Published Price, Sourced

Ask five vendors what an HVAC lead costs and you will get five confident answers between $10 and $400. All five can be telling the truth, because “a lead” is not one product. This page lays out every published price we could verify in 2026, what each number actually buys, and the arithmetic that matters more than any of them.

The short answer

HVAC leads in 2026 cost anywhere from $8 to $400+ depending on four things: whether the lead is exclusive or shared, whether the contact details were verified before you were charged, whether the homeowner wants a repair or a replacement, and whether you are buying a web form, a live call, or a booked appointment. Shared form leads publish at $8–49. Exclusive verified form leads publish at $45–120. Exclusive replacement-intent leads publish at $100–180. Live calls publish at $55–234 by market.

Published prices, by vendor

These are the vendors’ own published numbers, linked so you can check them yourself. Prices move; the links are the source of truth.

The three multipliers hiding inside every price

Exclusivity. Elevarus publishes shared form leads at $25–90 converting at 10–20%, against exclusive form leads at $100–264 converting at 40–60%. Per booked job the “expensive” lead wins, which is why serious vendors lead with exclusivity rather than price.

Verification. Around 40% of raw ad-generated form fills have a dead number, a renter, or a fake name. Verification lifts valid contact rates from roughly 60% to 95%. A $60 lead you can never reach costs more than a $90 lead who picks up.

Intent. A tune-up inquiry and a system-replacement inquiry are different products with different math. Fixr prices the gap directly: $80–120 for repair intent, $100–180 for replacement intent. The average replacement ticket in the US runs $7,000+, which is why replacement leads carry the premium.

The only number that matters: cost per booked job

Work every source back to the same unit. A $51 LSA lead booking at 44% costs about $116 per booked job. A $35 shared lead closing at 10% costs $350 per booked job, plus the platform’s membership fee, plus your team’s time calling homeowners who already hired quote number two. A $100 exclusive replacement lead closing at 1 in 4 costs $400 per booked job on a $7,000+ ticket.

Contractor Magazine’s 2026 benchmark calls $30–90 per lead with a 25–40% close rate healthy for HVAC, and adds the sentence worth printing out: a $70 lead closing one in three is reasonable for a $6,000 replacement and a disaster for a $150 service call.
